End the wars and center peace

Our government spends billions on wars and weapons abroad while our own schools, hospitals, and communities are overlooked. Every dollar sent to bomb families overseas is a dollar not spent healing our own neighborhoods—funding healthcare, housing, and climate resilience. It is time to end the era of rampant militarism and redirect that money to serve the people of this district, creating security, dignity, and opportunity for all.

When I’m in Congress, I will:

  • Champion a Peace Dividend: I will lead efforts to deliver annual payments to all citizens, paid for by cuts to our bloated military budget. Read more about it here.

  • End Complicity in Human Rights Abuses: I will fight to end unconditional U.S. military aid to Israel and other regimes committing human rights abuses.

  • End the occupation of Palestinians: We must stop the funding of genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank, and ensure our tax dollars never again fuel carnage like this again.

  • Oppose Reckless Military Action: I will stand firmly against any military action in Venezuela, Iran, Panama, or anywhere else President Trump has threatened with war. We must replace endless conflict with diplomacy.

  • Cut the military budget: I will work to dismantle the military-industrial complex and reduce our bloated, wasteful military spending.

  • Stop War Profiteers: Once and for all, we must audit the military budget and make excessive and corrupt war profiting illegal.

  • Reinvest in Our Communities: I will fight to redirect war spending into the things that actually keep us safe: universal healthcare, affordable housing, living wages, universal childcare, and clean energy projects right here at home.

  • Uphold Moral Clarity in Foreign Policy: I will work with members of Congress on both sides of the aisle to introduce legislation that prioritizes peace. Our nation must lead with diplomacy to avoid blowback from our current military adventurism.

  • Care for Our Own: By ending global wars, we can finally afford to fully care for our veterans and feed our own hungry.

Peace is not weakness—it is the courage to choose humanity over profit. Together, we can build a just foreign policy that reflects our values and brings our resources back home.
