Ricky A. Samayoa Signs on to Manage Rose Yee Campaign for Congress

Former mayor of Marysville commits to grassroots-driven campaign to bring real representation to the North State and advance Yee’s Care Agenda

Redding, CA (June 7, 2024) – Ricky A. Samayoa has joined the Rose Yee for Congress campaign as campaign manager, providing experienced leadership for the effort to bring new, constituent-focused representation to the North State.

Samayoa brings a wealth of experience in public service, community leadership, and organizational development. A native of Northern California, his roots run deep in District 1. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s in public administration from Chico State.  His academic achievements laid the foundation for a distinguished career dedicated to uplifting local communities.

Samayoa served as a city council member and two-term mayor of Marysville between 2010 and 2020. During his time in office, he established himself as a tireless advocate for working families, small businesses, and underserved populations. His experience bringing diverse groups together and finding common ground will drive engagement with rural and urban voters across District 1.

Ricky has a genuine passion for public service and making a positive impact on peoples lives. He is a devoted family man, married to his wife Jennifer, with two adult daughters and a teenage son attending public school in Marysville. His deep roots in the North State give him a unique understanding of the challenges and aspirations that the constituents Yee is running to serve.
