Campaign Draws New Endorsements and Recognition

Redding, CA (Oct. 14, 2024)Rose Penelope Yee’s campaign for Congress has earned endorsements from the CADEM Progressive Caucus for CD1 and Catalina Sanchez, a policy consultant and the first Latina elected to the Gridley City Council, along with the 2024 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction.

“Rose is the woman we need to send to Congress in 2024,” said Sanchez. “Unlike the incumbent, who only answers to his elite donors, elite supporters, and elite farm owners, Rose recognizes the real issues that plague different communities in the North State. She knows the concerns that people of different ages and incomes have, and she knows what we need from our federal government to enhance our way of living for everyone in the North State.

“Rose acknowledges what keeps residents of the North State up at night. She understands that young people want to find a job after college graduation with a living wage to one day buy a home and raise a family. Rose understands that seniors need more affordable housing to be available to not be placed on some wait list. She will fight so that seniors do not worry that Republicans will make their threat to gut Social Security a reality. Rose will fight for women’s right to choose what is best for their body and health. Most importantly, Rose understands the value that our immigrant communities bring to the North State, and that their economic contributions that are often hidden in deplorable working conditions and daily indignities that need to be fixed.

“Let’s send Rose to Congress this November to fight for honest and accountable representation that the North State so desperately needs.”

The Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction signals to supporters, volunteers and voters across the country that a candidate advocates for gun violence prevention and will govern with gun safety in mind.
