Red Bluff Daily News: An Argument for Yee
“The case against LaMalfa is deep and wide,” wrote Allan Stellar in his Oct. 15 opinion column in the Red Bluff Daily News. “The number of buffoonish gaffes over the past ten years has been a cacophony of weirdness and lies. Like the Aanestad fake website. Or the time LaMalfa denied the moon landing on CNN. Or the time he went on Fox and said that Obama was buying up all the bullets. Or how about when he said we should do away with SNAP and let churches and charity solely feed the poor. He reminds me of old man Rockefeller throwing dimes out of his pockets to starving children.”
He continues in that vein (there’s a lot of material), but goes on the make the case for voting Rose Penelope Yee for Congress, based on his sit-down interview with her. Here’s a taste:
“I asked her about what her campaign signs mean. They say Rose followed by Freedom, Opportunity and Justice. Rose surprised me with her answer regarding freedom. She referred all the way back to Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his famous four freedoms speech. ‘He said we need freedom from fear; freedom from want; freedom of speech and freedom of religion.’ She added ‘that’s the foundation of the essentials of my campaign.’”
