A NEW VOICE FOR CONGRESS:
PEOPLE. PEACE. PLANET
Hi, I’m Rose Penelope Yee, and I’m running for Congress because Washington has stopped working for us. The lobbyists, billionaires, and war profiteers are doing just fine — but families in Northern California are getting squeezed..
Our government should serve the people — not the plutocrats. I’m running to fight for universal healthcare, living-wage union jobs, affordable homes, and an end to billionaire corruption and limitless war spending. These are my priorities:
Healthcare when you need it
What good is private insurance when your co-pays are so high you still can’t afford to see a doctor? And now, Trump’s policies have kicked 15 million Americans off Medicaid — while gutting rural hospitals and pushing AI “death panels” for seniors. This has to stop.
Healthcare is a human right. I’ll fight to expand Medicare to all, cut prescription drug costs, and invest in rural hospitals so no one has to choose between getting treatment or paying rent.
If we can afford endless wars, we can afford to keep our hospitals open and make sure every person gets the care they need.
Stop Arming Genocide — Invest in Peace at Home
Our government spends billions on wars and weapons abroad, including funding Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza — a war that has killed tens of thousands of civilians and deepened cycles of suffering.
Meanwhile, our schools, hospitals, and communities are underfunded and overlooked. Every dollar sent to bomb families overseas is a dollar not spent healing our own communities — funding healthcare, housing, and climate resilience.
It’s time to end U.S. complicity in genocide, stop arming Israel and other regimes committing human rights abuses, and redirect that money to serve the people of this district, creating security, dignity, and opportunity for all.
I will fight to:
End unconditional U.S. military aid to Israel and other human rights abusers.
Replace endless war with diplomacy, peace building, and humanitarian aid.
Reinvest war spending into universal healthcare, affordable housing, living wages, universal childcare, education, and clean energy.
Peace is not weakness — it is the courage to choose life over profit and humanity over war.
A home you can afford
California home prices have risen dramatically over the past five years—in some North State counties by nearly 90%. Rents have shot up too, and the dream of homeownership is slipping away.
To make sure our families and seniors can stay in the communities they love, I’ll work for federal funding for affordable and entry-level housing, down-payment assistance, and cost-control measures to rein in rent gouging.
Jobs you can live on
Northern Californians work hard — but too many still can’t get ahead. Wages are flat, costs are up, and the Trump tariffs are hidden sales taxes on working families.
We can do better. I’ll champion living wages, union rights, expanded trades education, and clean energy projects that provide good-paying jobs while cutting utility bills and protecting our land and water.
End billionaire corruption and return power to the people
We don’t have universal healthcare, affordable housing, and living-wage jobs now because corporate lobbyists and billionaires call the shots in Washington.
Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” slashes healthcare and food benefits for working families while handing tax breaks to the wealthy and subsidies to Big Oil, weapons companies, and unaccountable tech companies.
That’s corporate welfare, pure and simple.
I’ll fight to repeal Citizens United, close the revolving door between Congress and lobbyists, and get big money out of politics — so our government answers to us again.
And I won’t accept donations from corporate interests or lobbyists like AIPAC that twist priorities and take power away from people.
Restoring our freedoms
I grew up in a police state. I’ve seen what happens when speaking out means being watched, jailed, or silenced.
That’s why I’m running: to defend freedoms that lawmakers in Washington have failed to protect — free speech, free assembly, a free press, and freedom from lawless searches and arrests.
Democracy only survives when people fight for it. I intend to do just that.
