Community Leaders Audrey Denney and David Leon Zink Endorse Rose for Congress
Redding, CA (Sept. 16, 2024) – North State community leaders Audrey Denney and David Leon Zink have wholeheartedly endorsed Rose Penelope Yee for Congress in California District 1.
Denney, an education and business strategy consultant, agriculture expert and previous candidate for Congress in California District 1, had this to say in endorsing Yee:
“Rose is a community and business leader with a track record of advocating for people and pragmatic solutions. She will be a representative for all of the residents in District 1—not just the wealthy elite. Rose will work to make sure all North State residents have access to affordable healthcare, the opportunity to have a good education, and the financial freedom to take care of ourselves.
“Unlike her opponent, she believes in overturning Citizens United and getting dark money out of politics. She will only be accountable to her constituents. I’m proud to support Rose for Congress!”
Zink, a community organizer, consultant and 2022 candidate for California State Assembly, said he was “impressed” by Yee’s background and focus.
“She has quite a life story and strikes me as an issues-based candidate rather than someone with career partisan ambitions,” Zink said. “Her career in finance informs how she focuses her policies on healthcare, education, building out the middle class and the environment.
“Rose's reasons to run are patriotic, immediately relevant and pragmatic,” he added. “I believe Rose will be a vast improvement over our current representative and an effective champion of North State values in Congress, so I am glad to offer my endorsement of Rose for Congress.”
