March 21, 2018 – McLain, MS — McLain Mayor Steve McCluskey announced today his endorsement of Republican E. Brian Rose for United States House of Representatives in Mississippi’s Fourth Congressional District.

“I chose to endorse Mr. Rose, because I believe he has the qualities necessary to accurately and honestly represent our district in Washington,” the mayor said in an email and Facebook post to his supporters. “Mr. Rose is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and feels government should stay out of the way of private industry. He will lead the effort to stop using our tax dollars for the funding of Obamacare, Planned Parenthood, amnesty programs, and more gun control – something our current representation has failed to do.”

Rose announced his candidacy shortly after the 2016 election. Since then, he has initiated a grass roots campaign that includes many town hall meetings and public appearances.

Rose will face incumbent Steven Palazzo in the Republican Primary election on June 5th.
